Tapping to Teddy Bear

Her solo balet outfit...stop growing up please.

DANCE!!!!

Finally, dance pictures. Here's her hair.

Avery wanted fancy hair too.

37 Weeks

I had a dr.'s appt today. I'm 50% effaced and dialated between a 1 and a 2.
Basically it could be anytime, or it could be a couple weeks.

I feel pretty good, like I could go at anytime or I could wait a couple of weeks...hmmm.

Induction scheduled for July 1st if I dont go before. I dont want to know the baby's birthday - I want to just go...we'll see!

Any bets?

Dream come true

A few weeks ago our neighbor down the road made Sully's dream come true by letting him sit in his police car.
It was great!

(I'm slowly catching up on pictures. Hopefully soon I'll be back to normal in that department!)

BIG Check #5

Hospital golf tournament...over. A success, not as big as recent years but lots of circumstances were beyond our control.

At this point, its over and I can safely say...Baby #4 - come out and meet us - we are all ready.

Sullivan again

Now he has put on Avery's pink crocs and is running around the house yelling, "Im Avery! Im Avery" At the very top of his lungs.
And he's laughing hysterically at himself while he does it. Lauren and Avery are looking at him like he's nuts.

Boys are different. ;>

Check #3 and #4

#3. The toys are all in their new homes. I'd have to say that I've had big time doubts about this set up but all in all I'd now say that it is more functional and the kids are actually able to find the toys they are looking for much easier.
Also, for the first time the girls dress up clothes are all hung up and easy to find. They love dressing up more than anything and this is perfect for them. So far today they've been Dorothy and the Wicked Witch, and princesses. Well actually Avery was a princess, Lauren was a prince. Somehow Avery can always talk into that!
#4. The baby's room is cleared out of everything but a dresser and a crib. Blankets, onsies and burp cloths are ready to go as well as the swing, seat and car seat. I love walking in there!

I think the last 'big' project to get checked off is to organize the desk 'stuff'. I plan to get that mostly done during nap time today.

Very exciting people!

There's a first for everything...

Sullivan just came in and told on himself.

Mommy, I spit Avery.

Nice.

And why do boys spit? Do they learn that in the womb?

Bedtime

Tonight Lauren said, "Mommy? Is there bedtime in heaven?"
I told I didn't think so.

She responded, "YEAH! Now I really want to go there!"

I guess the streets of gold and mansions weren't enough for her. ;>

Date Night

Just a guy, a girl, an Ikea storage unit and some tools.
Yep, that was our date night. My mom took the kids and we set in for some building. With a vow that we would not fight during the process.

Thankfully it went much better than expected. The unit is together and looks great.

Its just waiting for me to start organizing all the toys in the basement and get them up here. I cant wait to get that part done. The kids are very tired of playing with the few toys I originally left out in the dining room over 6 weeks ago. Luckily they've been able to play outside.

Things are really falling into place around here. Yesterday I was even able to get out the car seat and swing and get the covers washed along with burp cloths and some blankets - they are ready to go. That is the kind of nesting I LOVE!

I would love to post before and after pictures of the girls room, kitchen and bathroom but something is seriously wrong with my IPhoto and that wont be happening until I get someone a lot techier than me to look at it. Its possible it isnt working because I have almost 8,000 pictures stored in there...but that's just a hunch I have.

WHO?

Who came to my house and took these babies and left the grown kids?

1st Grader

I just picked Lauren up from her last day of kindergarten. She had a very somber look on her face when I arrived.

I hugged her and said, "How's my almost first grader."

She said, "How many days till 1st grade starts?"

It could be a long summer for Lauren! This girl was made for school.

Ok, I give

This pregnancy has won. I'm not trying to compete with it anymore.

I drove over to CF this morning to pick up a vinyl sign for the golf tournament I'm planning next weekend for work. I need it today to put up here in town as advertisement for the event. While I was going I made 2 other stops to get supplies for this event.

I'm back at work now, looking at my list. Yep, didn't pick up the sign. Drove right past the sign shop - didn't stop.

I quit.

Sherbet

I cannot express my deep love for sherbet right now. Cant get enough. Its what's gettin' me through! :)

Progress

Well I don't have anything to check off tonight - well actually there is a ton but I reserve checks for completed rooms.
So, I'll just say that we have a den again...I'm blogging from my long lost MAC right now. The lvr didnt have any work done to it. But tonight we took every last thing out of it and cleaned it from top to bottom. The area rug and couches are drying after a good cleaning and it all looks sparkly.
Next stop - completing the den by moving in the furniture and storage to make it a den/playroom.
SO ready to be done with this project!

Losing it

I got a phone call at work today from the hospital where I will deliver. They received my pre-admittance paperwork. I left off some information.
20 minutes later I got off the phone.

The only part I filled out was my name, address and phone #'s. There were 2 and 1/2 pages I didnt fill out.

My pregnant brain is not the same as my normal brain. I hope my normal brain comes back.

Check 2

Kitchen done...check.
Flooring in, love it. Ceiling in, love it. New table, love it. Cupboards reinstalled, not in love yet, but Im getting there.

And best of all - cupboards, appliances and everything from top to bottom - CLEAN! Even my spice cupboard - that is an accomplishment.

Dear Dad,

Today marks two years that we have been without you. While I will never be able to erase the haunting memories from the morning we found out you were gone, my attention in recent months has turned to the things about you that I miss and think about the most. To commemorate this day I have decided to share some of those at the forefront of my mind with you;
1. I miss when you would hug me and I'd feel your scratchy face so in need of a shave.
2. I miss walking into a room and seeing your face light up. I see that still in my life, from my husband and my children, but I think there is a special light that appears when a father sees his daughter. It is humbling to me, when I realize how loved I have been. I miss being your baby girl.
3. I miss how Lauren would stand in front of you after church on Sunday and wait for you to tell her how beautiful she looked. I love it that she remembers how you always noticed her shoes.
4. I miss the laugh and squeal I would hear from Avery as she would steal your pens, papers and stickie notes and how we would all laugh as you called her a 'little beggar' and chase after her.
5. I am sorry that you have not seen Sullivan as he grows. I am so sad that he has missed a relationship with you. I know that you two would be an inseparable pair. He is all boy and would truly have loved 'fixing' stuff and fishing with his Papa Richard.
6. I miss the relationship you had with Jordan. Through this home renovation we have been doing I have heard Jordan say so many times, "I just wish your dad were here to help us, he'd be so excited right now." I miss how you would call each other to share cracks about the Cyclones and Hawks. I miss when he would call you with spiritual questions. I miss that the two of you were friends.
7. I miss Sunday night bible studies with you.
8. I miss all the teasing you did to mom. Sunday lunches are not the same with out hearing you tell mom she needed to 'run into the house and get lunch on the table'. I miss how you would criticize most of her meals, and then go back for seconds and thirds. Dont worry, Jordan has taken over some of this responsibility. You taught him well and he enjoys giving her a very hard time.
9. I miss all your funny sayings that made you, you. I miss laughing at you when you'd say something that no one understood but you.
10. I miss how you wore black socks with shorts and tennis shoes, or worse, slippers.
11. I miss your gaudy ties.
12. I miss how much you loved being surrounded by your kids.
13. I even miss your temper, which unfortunetly as my husband likes to remind me - I inherited!
14. I miss how you gave everyone who was close to you a nickname.
15. I miss having you as my biggest fan at sporting events in jr. high and high school - 'Draw blood Becky!'
16. I miss watching you play tennis. We all have a good time at your expense now - discussing how you liked to play the net in doubles because that meant you wouldn't have to move much!
17. I miss the random gifts you would buy for us. Some of which I dont think we ever truly understood but we always knew they were picked out with more care and thought than we would ever know.
18. I think what has been bothering me most in recent weeks is that very soon I will be bringing another member of our family into the world. It breaks my heart that I will never see you hold this baby. That it will never reach up and pull on your mustache and never get to hear your laugh. I miss that it will never get to know how you could make someone feel like the most special person in the world by picking out special little things about them and highlighting them. I pray that Lord willing this baby will come to know Jesus as its Savior and that one day in heaven it will get to meet Papa Richard.

With all that, I am grateful for some things that have happened since and due to your death. The salvation of family members and my own desire and hope for heaven. In my christian walk before your death heaven was a place that I wanted to go to 'someday', but in all honesty, it wasn't a place that I felt I wanted to go to now. Losing you has made me long for heaven, long for a place of peace and where I will spend every moment of every day praising my heavenly Father who prepared the place just for me.

We miss you every single day. I wish for one more day here on earth with you but I know that one more day would not be enough, for I'd be left wishing for, one more day.

All my love,

Boomer...

Done

I'm done with this pregnancy. It just struck me today. I was at work, and very uncomfortable. My hips hurt like crazy, and they normally only hurt at night. I can't sleep. Then I realized that about every 6 minutes I am tugging at my clothes because they do not fit. Yep, my maternity clothes are too small. I'm done.

I also feel selfish for being such a wimp. Thinking of the families in Parkersburg and New Hartford. And also of the Landers as they prepare to head to Africa tomorrow to pick up their children and bring them home to the four who will be waiting anxiously for them.

I have nothing to complain about. But still, I'm done being pregnant. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I'm going to try and bribe him into some sort of 'get this baby out me' deal.
