the summer to come...

No school tomorrow led to an impromptu night by the fire tonight to round out our weekend. 

It was chilly so everyone was looking for a snuggle partner...or as Sullivan calls it - a snuggle buggle. 

No exaggeration...the fire was lit...and 5 minutes later, Freckles ran across the street to join us. 

He loves our fires. 

And this cat and Tess are peas in a pod. 

Cats choose those they love...they dont sell out...and Freckles has chosen Contessa.

(side note...Avery REALLY wants him to love HER...but he aint' havin' it!) 

And Tess LOVES him right back. LOVES. 

Doesn't he just look like he belongs with us? 

This night made me so excited for what will have to be a fun summer to come. 

I love the ages of our kids right now and I want to hit the pause button the minute school lets out in May!
