Cake is magic

We are home from our wonderful vacation.
And I have so much to share.
But getting back into reality is all we can do right now.

However, I have to share this precious conversation from today:

Torrance: Mommy, do you know that cake is magic?
Me: why is that?
Torrance: Because it makes you change a year older.
When you blow it on your birthday...magic...you are older.

And I could not love her precious heart one ounce more.

St. Patrick's Day 2015

Time go away from me and I never posted about Cindy's St. Patrick's Day party!

She knocked it out of the park, as usual.

I mean really, look at this stuff!
All food and decor was rainbow themed.

 Some pre-party pics!
Adele and Contessa - the 6 year olds.

Torrance - 4

 Lauren - the teenager

Aaron - 11

Sullivan - 9

Alexa - 9

Adrian - 4

Somehow Avery - 10 - missed out on these pics!

Group pictures

After lunch we moved on to activities.
Cindy had several stations of fun.
#1 Making rainbow pinwheels

#2 Photo Booth Fun!
(the kids favorite!)

#3 Painting a Rainbow

#4 Helping to decorate Grandma's holiday tree

#5 Decorating dessert!

I think the boys had the most fun with the photo booth!

Too cute.

Such a good sport.
She still has so much fun at Grandma's parties.

Adorable!

More shots of all the fun.
These kids enjoy each other so very much.
They are lucky indeed.

Grandma even gave everyone a rainbow themed gift!
New spring t-shirts.

And after the party, one of us crashed HARD!
Not Torrance.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Basketball

Sullivan loves basketball.
He loves to play on the mini hoop at Grandma's house.

And I love to watch him 'perform'!
His expressions are the best.

Two Years

Two years recently passed since we said good-bye to mom.
It doesn't get easier.

But God continues to show us so much grace and mercy through every step.
I am so grateful for my brothers. For our ability to lean on each other and hold each other up.
Praise the Lord my parents had a crazy dream of a huge family.
Praise the Lord!

I am so grateful for my husband. He misses them as much as I do. He never tires of talking about them with me and making sure our kids know them. He's my greatest blessing. He heals my heart.

He repeatedly uses our friends to show me that He's there and He cares.
This year I received flowers, texts and s'mores.
Doesn't get much better.
In the friendship game...I won.
Hands down.

I decorated the gravestone for the first time with the help of a great friend.
I can tell you this...I am not old enough to be decorating my parents gravestone.
But thankfully I am old enough to realize how truly blessed I am to have had parents who are so missable.
Every single day.

And to know that Because He Lives...I will see them, touch them again.

Torrance Reagan

With each holiday she gets older...and I have a
little less time having a 'little' one.
I'm treasuring each moment.
