Random

Time for a catch up via random iPhone pictures.

Just dropping Tess off for soccer and she was so cute a picture was needed.

My neediest child.

I mean seriously.

Torrance's ability to make up random accidents for her dolls is a bit scary.
In her defense she does take really good care of them after these accidents.

Four wheelin' with Yoders.
Tori and Scott.

The moms' turns.

Sullivan has always been a good reader but this year a switch went off and he is obsessed.
I frequently have to force him to put a book down.
A good punishment for him is that he cant read at night before bed!

Jordan playing a quiz game with Brooklyn and Avery as they studied for a social studies test.

I had an appointment at Allen this week and Tori really wanted to see Uncle Jordan.
We were running really late so he agreed to come outside to see us.
Their meeting was one of my favorite things ever.

These two sit through a lot of their siblings events.
And they are just about always smiling.

Torrance is working hard to get prepared for Kindergarten.

Jordan came and took Sullivan fishing this week.
Such fun memories.

He also brought Sullivan some old baseball cards, a Beckett magazine and some baseball books.
Sullivan just stood their with his mouth hanging open.
It was so cute.
My kids are so lucky to have such great uncles!

Lauren and her friend Lauren are planning a special night for the little girls this weekend.
My girls LOVE Lauren's friends.
And they think their motorcycles (mopeds) are the coolest.
And my Lauren puts up with it well.

We had our first park day with friends today.
It was just as awesome as I remembered.
And then a hamster showed up and Torrance had the time of her life.
Yes, I said a hamster.
Someone brought a hamster to play at the park.

Readers theater

Tess's class put on a reader's theater for parents a couple weeks back.
It was of course, adorable. Because what isnt in 1st grade?

She was the narrator.

Each student also chose a poem to recite on their own.
Tess chose one that was also a song and so she sang it.
It was my favorite performance. ;)

Lets just stay in 1st grade ok Contessa?

Eating off the floor

Remember this episode of Friends?

It was recreated in my kitchen.
Apparently my chocolate pie is really good.

Kayaking, waaaay back

We did a lot of kayaking last summer and I didnt document any of it.
There were some kayak dumps.
Some when I wasn't even there and quite frankly I'm glad I did not witness.

One of the greatest parts of kayaking is how colorful it is!

Another great part is seeing Jordan in his happy place.
I love all the adventures he takes us on.

When my brothers were here in August we took a trip to Decorah.
We stopped at Dunning Springs.

And went out on the river.
We were quite the crew let me tell you.
Loud and annoying I am sure.
And my brother Jordan even dumped his kayak.
Which everyone but him loved to see.

Even Harper got to come along!

My kids just kind of like her.

We stopped at the rope swing.
Quite possibly Jordan's favorite spot.

He could probably do this all day.

Avery and Sullivan did the rope swing but I missed getting pictures.
But Jen hoped on for a turn.

These pictures arent about kayaking but have to be shared.
Avery lost at a card game and my brothers got to pic a dare for her.
She had to run around the house with Sullivan's underwear.
My brothers have not progressed past Junior High humor.

And Tess and Harper.
Such cuteness.

Sing it

Contessa had her First Grade concert a couple weeks back.
It was a celebration of all the months and seasons.
Her month was December.

She sang her cute little heart out.

Jordan's Aunt Bev has been the Elementary Music Teacher for over 30 years.
She taught Jordan in one of her very first classes.
And Contessa got to be in one of her very last before she retires at the end of this year.
Congratulations Aunt Bev!

More jumping!

One place I can count on to provide laughter and fun for all the kids at once is the trampoline.
Sure there are some collisions and accidents but over all its so fun!

Someday I know that picture like this will be my most favorite...all my kids together laughing.
