Weekend wrap up

Contessa turned 7 back in July.
The day happened to be while we were on vacation and unfortunetly for her was on one of our long travel days.
Typically on our kids birthdays we take them out for supper with just us...a little one on one time.
But this summer got buzy and we never got her birthday celebration done!
Fail!

We made up for it on Friday.
She even got to skip school for the occasion.

We woke her up like it was truly her birthday...donut tower and all.

She was kind enough to allow her little sister to join us.
We headed to Des Moines for the day.
First stop, Barnes and Noble.
Story time with dad.

She finally got to pick out a present.
What a patient child...3 months late and she NEVER complained or even brought it up.
She has a major lego obsession.
And I have no where to keep them all!

She chose Red Robin for lunch.

We capped off her day with a quiet night at home.
Falstaff is enjoying the fall weather along with the rest of us.
He is much more cuddly this time of year.
Even tolerating Torrance's affections more easily.

Saturday's are for soccer!
This is Tess's first year and it could not be cuter.
Her cute friend Cat gave me an awesome smile!

She however dodged my camera and I got a cute pic of someone from Cedar Falls.

Lauren had a game too but I was too cold during that one for pictures!
As we were leaving we ran into the Panther who was hanging out at the complex during a UNI Women's game.
So fun!
