Today Contessa turned 6.
And I'm afraid I'm much too tired to write her birthday post tonight.
That will wait for tomorrow.
Tonight I will just say that I am so grateful for this girl.
She might love her birthday more than any other child on the planet.
She is a joy to celebrate and we had the most fun day.
She literally beamed and bounced from start to finish.
The day was full of playing outdoors, helping her uncle pick out a new kitty,
baking and making crafts...all at her request.
She loved telling everyone it was her day.
She told everyone that for her birthday she wanted to eat pork, brownies and get a desk.
Most did not know how to respond.
And tonight she had mommy and daddy all to herself...we cruised around town with the sunroof open and the music blaring on our way to the movie...and she loved every second of our time. And we loved being able to spoil and dote on her like she was our only one.
And we got to watch her smile and giggle. This gorgeous girl belongs to us.
World's luckiest parents, that's what we are.
