Zion Day 1

Today we headed into Zion National Park. We hiked to the 3 Emerald Pools which honestly were a bit more like murky brown pools but the views along the way were beautiful.

This area has a beauty all its own...desert like and dry. But the plant life is so different for us that we are in awe of it. And the rocky, mountainous landscape is nothing short of breathtaking. Our God is just so cool. He could have made it all look the same, but instead, each area has its only unique beauty. And we have been lucky enough to see so much of it.

4th graders get their families into National Parks for free...too bad we figured this out on kid #5. But she was so proud. Her signing the park pass was adorable, I wont forget it.
This daredevil behind Tori was definitely a highlight of the day!
We were thankful for cloud cover today but still tired quicker than Jordan would have liked so we left him in his playground to venture out alone awhile after our hike.

Ending the day with the movie Cars all 7 of us together....because Avery commented that the landscape all around us reminds her of that movie and she is so right
We even listened to the soundtrack as we drove today....took me right back to Sullivan's little days...
