He's also my stubborn, problem solver!

Jordan and I took Sully to his therapy appointment this morning. Sully did great. The therapist did a good job with him. She thinks his problem is 3 fold - 1. weak lower back and hip muscles, 2. great flexibilty - which often a trade off for stregnth and 3. He is a stubborn problem solver who has learned that he doesnt have to walk to get everything he wants!

She wants us to bring our coffee table out of storage and use it to encourage him to stand and play. He did SO well at therapy with this. He actually stood up, held the table and took 2 sideways steps to get to a toy. He has never done anything like that before. I think the stair climbing is giving him confidence.

She gave us a few other things to try and said that we should report back and possibly have another session in a month. Basically he is just going to walk late - no real developmental or structural problems. She also said that they did a study of Olympic athletes and a majority of them were late walkers! Odd.

We are happy we went and feeling really good about things! Go Sully!

Great news! I can't wait to see Sully in the Olympics someday! I assume he'll be involved with hurdles. :)

So glad to hear good news! Can't wait for the pics of him running in the yard (sorry, I deleted the other comment because it didn't make sense! That's what I get for trying to write complete sentences when I get home from work!)
