Jordan and I just spent a weekend away doing absolutely NOTHING!
It was amazing.
We read, used our laptops, did about 30 minutes of Christmas shopping, ate out, slept in, stayed up late, watched movies, sat in the hot tub, talked, listened to each other... and we wrapped up the weekend at the ISU game with Melanie and Jason this afternoon.
It was great.
This may become a Christmas tradition for us...getting away right before Christmas.
I feel amazing, reconnected with my husband and very very ready for Christmas and enjoying my sweet kids. Jordan has worked 13 or more hours everyday for more than 2 weeks now so the reconnection time was definitely needed.
Also, as a side note...Jordan is putting Contessa to bed right now and I can hear him singing to her over the monitor as he rocks her. Yeah, love him. Lots.
