We just watched Shawn Johnson win gold in the beam.
I cried.
How do you not cry when you stand up there with a gold medal around your neck with your national anthem playing and your parents bawling in the stands?
I am wiping my tears too. I really broke down when I saw her parents in the stands. I can't imagine how proud they must be...I remember how exciting it was to stand on the podium at the Dickenson Relays in the dome...and we got like 5th place! Can you imagine being at the Olympics?? I love it too. I stay up way too late and get way too emotional about it!
me too, but i think i was sobbing mosting thinking of all the emotions her parents must be feeling. wow. i looked at paul, sobbing, and said, "It's tough being a mom!" he giggled.

I too cried like a baby and love to give this child a hugh hug!!! From a love to an ambition with determination...what a cinderella story!!!!
