We've had a special present, actually 2, deposited literally right outside our door.
An apparently not very bright momma Robin planted her perfect little nest and even more perfect eggs in a bush directly outside our door.
We are having a blast watching them and the kids are really excited to see them hatch...I dont think they realize that the eggs are actually a lot prettier to look at than newborn birds! (ew).
I dont think the momma is enjoying it like we are...she throws a major fit every time we walk past the bush which is several times per day! She is likely regretting this choice for her home!

We have had a nest right outside our door, too! The baby birds have just left the nest. It is so fun to watch! Your children will enjoy it no matter how weird looking baby birds are at first. What a great learning experience! Keep taking pics! The empty nest and pictures make for great show and tell pieces!
