Do you remember that line of 'toys' for girls from oh, like the late 80's? I can still sing the jingle. "Get in shape girl! You'll the feelin' Get in shape girl! Its so appealin'!"

Anyway, I no longer need silly marketing schemes to make me feel out of shape, overweight and inadequate. My scale started telling me. And it seems to be a lot louder.
Well my wonderful, supportive, awesome, thoughtful friend Melanie gave me an early birthday gift and I now have a 2 month YMCA membership!
I tried it out for the first time tonight. And while I've got a ways to go, I feel great. And so I guess the commercial was right...I do 'love the feelin!'

WHY do I not remember this Barbie?? I was a child of the 80's. How did this one get past me? Regardless...congrats and way to go! Wish I lived closer to town, I would come work out with you!
I HAD Get In Shape Girl tapes! I don't remember which ones but I had them and LOVED them.
Wish I still had them.
